Post-Standard Masters Tournament Rules

  1. The tournament is certified by the United States Bowling Congress and all participants must be certified by the USBC. This is a single entry tournament. Entrants must be 18 by 2/8/2025. Junior bowlers are not permitted.
  2. Distribution of $55 Entry Fee:
    • Prize fund: $31.50
    • Tournament Expense: $23.50
  3. Eligibility. The tournament is open to members of the USBC who reside or bowl within the geographical boundaries of Onondaga, Cayuga, Chenango, Madison, Oswego, Tompkins, Jefferson, Onieda, Cortland, Lewis, Broome, Tioga, Schuyler, Seneca, Yates, Ontario, Wayne, St. Lawrence, Herkimer, Otsego, Delaware, Chemung, Livingston, Steuben, or Monroe counties.
  4. This is a double-elimination scratch tournament. A bowler, once qualified in positions 1-64, must lose twice before being eliminated. A bowler in the winner’s bracket will not oppose a bowler in the losers bracket until the finals.
  5. Any current exempt PBA members, or anyone who has won a PBA National Event in the past 10 years are not eligible. Last years champion, if entered, and the top 63 qualifiers enter the double elimination finals.
  6. Each participant is responsible for the accuracy of their score record and must submit that record to the tournament office as directed.
  7. Bowlers entering the tournament and failing to report for qualifying round forfeit entry fee. If a bowler is entering a substitute, tournament management must be notified two hours prior to the announced starting time of the qualifying squad. No substitutions will be allowed after the qualifying round has started. There will be no substitutions or alternates allowed in any match play round.
  8. Bowers in the three game qualifying round will change lanes for each game as directed. Tournament management reserves the right to move participants to different lanes or different squads in the event of mechanical failures or other unforeseen circumstances.
  9. Double elimination match play will consist of three games bowled on the same pair of lanes. Ties in any match will be broken by a 9th and 10th frame roll off.
  10. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by a declared emergency, natural disaster, or any other reson beyond the control of the tournament management shall cause, to the extent of required thereby, all advertised prices, guaranteed or otherwise, to be pro-rated in accordance with the number of entrants and/or matches having been bowled up to the time of termination.
  11. Any ties for the last qualifying position will be decided in a 3 game roll-off on 2/10/2025 at 530pm at AMF Strike-N-Spare lanes.
  12. Hats or shorts will NOT be allowed in match play. The tournament director will have the final say on all discrepancies.
